Having had the surface of the floor sanded and sealed we were keen to show the potential of the hall for use by large groups of children.

We decorated a lovely tree, donated by the Killiow Estate and invited lots of children to come to a "Fit 'n Fun" party on 1 December 2004.

A total of 45 under-sevens enjoyed a bouncy castle, parachute play, games, puppet show and face painting run by the excellent team from the "Fit 'n Fun" group, who managed the children with great skill and enthusiasm. The Mums came too and enjoyed tea and cakes, while watching all the fun.

This was not a fund-raising event but we covered our costs and the aim was to raise awareness of the hall. Many people admired the clean, smooth surface of the floor and said how pleased they were to see the hall being used again. This was a temporary measure to enable some use of the hall for a limited period before the main restoration work begins.
