'End of term' tea party for the Lunch Club
All eight lunch club teams combined to provide a free tea party for their regular customers and their guests. About 120 people sat down to a cream tea and a wonderful assortment of cakes. The palm court atmosphere was enhanced by some impressive foil palms and by incidental piano music provided by David James. Lunch Club re-starts on 1st September and new over-60's would be welcome at 12 noon each Tuesday. They enjoy a choice of home-made soups and of desserts for £2.50.
