Mylor Movies - The Ghost (15) directed by Roman Polanski and starring Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Catrall, Olivia Williams. Set on an island off America, this political thriller is based on Robert Harris's novel about a former British prime minister accused of war crimes. Fearing extradition, the prime minister is trapped abroad, rewriting his past with a ghostwriter. The truth is as amorphous as the fog on the island, but the search for it allows Polanski to examine guilt, exile and political expediency. |

The story of an Irish fisherman named Syracuse who discovers a woman in his fishing net, whom he believes to be a selkie or mermaid. She says her name is Ondine, which means 'she came from the sea'. His daughter Annie comes to believe that the woman is a selkie, a magical seal/woman creature, while Syracuse falls helplessly in love. |
